Idea #482: Auto-update Textures

Written by Nosslak the 16 Apr 12 at 09:14. Category: Texturing & Materials. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
When I texture my models I like to check what the results look like often but Blender isn't particularly good for this as you have to click update on every single texture that you want to update. I work a lot with game modeling so for most of models I need to update at least the diffuse, normal and specular maps (I work on them all at the same time) which is a hassle to update when you just want to see how it all looks.

I don't think that Blender auto-update the texture is the perfect solution for the problem . I have tried this method but still stuck with the same problem.

I just want to ask that is it possible to save the auto-update texture with Photoshop , will it auto update in Maya?

Well, I do not have much idea about game modeling, and it feels as if it would have been difficult for you to handle such things.
