Rationale
Well, BSoC brought a lot of new improvements that makes unnecessary the use of other programs(for example, Voodoo was used to do the camera tracking and then we needed to export a script to Blender. Thanks to Sergey, we now have one in blender).

So why not implementing a sound editor/system?

Something that loads a sound, adds effects, has a GUI to make our own changes (maybe a node-based like SunVox(blender developers really like nodes)) and maybe it could have a repository on-line where the blender users could upload their sounds and download others right from blender.

Camera tracking was implement because it is linked to 3D scene.
Like speaker object can be located in viewport.
Actually, you can add sound in Video Sequence Editor and tweak it a little in strip properties.
Maybe some sound effects can be added VSE.
But I think like Gimp is more complete to edit images. An audio editor should require a complete team of dev.
