(First, sorry for my english)

Cycles on a computer using a single gpu. Because it does not support SLI. Why is being done in Blender SLI and 3-way SLI support ..?

Cycles does not need SLI. If you have multiple GPUs, just select them in the User Preferences -> System in the left column. :)
